On view are five new drawings. Erotic social fantasies become formal experiments in these inlayed works on paper, which combine marker drawing, photography, glitter, and lipstick. Embedded with sinuous cut shapes that simultaneously exist as erasure and form, these kaleidoscopic works hover between graphic precision and narrative ambiguity. The fetishizing of celebrities and acquaintances offers a psychological contrast to these abstract compositions.

Loren Kramar (b. 1987, Los Angeles) received his BFA from Cooper Union. This is his first solo exhibition in Los Angeles. His work has been included in group presentations at La Mama (NYC), The Old School House (NYC), From the Desk of Lucy Bull (LA), The Brucennial (NYC), and Smithumenta (NYC). In October 2018, his show with McDermott & McGough opens at The Hand (NYC).
